Your tasks

  • Work closely with UX designers and gameplay programmers to define and implement tightly-integrated, ground-breaking and mutually-reinforcing features: player abilities, enemies and obstacles to be overcome, plus the systems that tie everything together
  • Provide crisp feedback to quickly iterate on concepts, proposing solutions as well as criticism
  • Contribute to the overall game design, making an impact on the overall player experience
  • Analyze player behavior to optimize game balance and KPIs such as retention or player spending
  • Communicate effectively across the game team and with project stakeholders
  • Create and maintain game design documents

Required skills/experience

  • 2+ years of experience in the game industry
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of design principles and basic economics
  • Ability to take constraints and business goals to shape elegant design solutions
  • Ability to empathize with players and understand their perspective
  • Critical, analytical and communication skills
  • Passion for playing and creating games
  • Fluent in English
  • Highly self-motivated
  • No drama and fun to work with

Preferred skills/experience

  • Some programming or scripting experience
  • Experience with data and content input using YML, JSON or XML
  • Art and/or audio production.
  • Script / story writing
  • Ability to drive design using data and metrics
  • Able to work in VR without getting sick (don’t worry we can test you during an onsite)
